Rosalie (Sally)'s Story
Life, boy, almost 40 years since I left high school & became an adult.
So now I am all grown up with a marriage here, a marriage there, a son, 13 years later a 2nd son, add 5 step kids, 9 grandkids (& still counting) and you have quite a mix.
Now I am again single, work in the accounting department of MOHELA (we service college student loans). I've been there 9 years. Over the years I have been a hotel night auditor, ran an antiques & craft store, but mostly stayed at home, raised kids, spent years as a homeroom mother, was involved in the Boy Scouts for almost 25 years & was the "woman behind the successful man". I have always been the ÂorganizerÂ, the "ÂletÂs get together and do this fun and different thing"Â person.
I am an egg artist (this would take some real explaining), creator of other works of art & I do a little writing & photography. I am currently working on starting a small business that will enable me to sell my wares and make as extra $ or $$.
Another passion is my home & its garden. I am a real do-it-yourselfer. I own more tools than most men & I'm not afraid to tackle any job. My garden, pond & all, is my haven. In my garden I indulge in my fantasy world. I love anything that has whimsy, fairies, gnomes & fire eating dragons, etc. It must have to do with my Irish heritage. I am currently getting my home ready to sell & would like to end up a little further out, plopped down on a few acres with ...Expand for more
my only close neighbors being fireflies & fairies under toad stools. This way I can be with people when I want & not bothered when the mood suits me.
I love to read true stories of crime, bios, books on the Vietnam War, a good mystery (but I read it differently than most, I read the 1st few chapters, find out what the crime is then go to the end and find out who did it & why, then read the middle). I love to go to the theater & listen to music. I love all types of music, it just depends on my mood.
I guess I've also become an opinionated, out-spoken woman who never feels lukewarm about anything.
I am also the family historian, believing that our roots and our history should not be forgotten or thrown away.
I am probably the most proud of myself for the daughter, sister, parent, grandparent and friend that I think I am. My relationships with people are more important than any thing I own and I work to keep them.
But most of all I love to laugh and to live life to the fullest. I love showing people that everything in life doesn't have to be serious, my greatest joy is making my friends & family smile & laugh. My friends find my quirky ways endearing. My family just shake their heads & wonder where I came from (I think I was given to them by a kind witch).
So if you feel like having a little fun and want to march in a parade give me a call ~!~ IÂll get a few other people and weÂll march down Main Street in the rain.
